Henry Rollins from Flipside Fanzine number twenty-eight

Interview with Black Flag 1980.

Just a little Punk Rock history…. who knew what the future would bring….??

This is an image from Los Angeles  Flipside Fanzine issue number 28 and it is one of my favorite pictures of Henry Rollins. He is fun, wild and curious. The photo is by Al Flipside.

Flipside Fanzine included an insert of our Fanzine number 28  for the Rodney On The ROQ Vol 2 Vinyl LP.

We teamed up with Rodney Bingenheimer of KROQ and Robbie Fields owner of Posh Boy Records.

To he man Henry…

Our goal was to support a growing Punk Rock scene which only had a small pool of promotional opportunities. This was a great time to support bands on this compilation.

Welcome to Hudley Flipside’s “The Seminary Of Praying Mantis Publishing.” Praying mantis shows me her story of life, death, and rebirth. For me she is an image or symbol of the divine in all things. I watch the praying mantis in my garden and have taken her image as my logo. She is an amazing little creature, and I relate to her connection to nature. We are both wild and part of this strange world. She is a part of my mythology as I am part of hers.
