The Broken hermetical seal

Spiraling around this cocoon are the memories of many decades of life.

Stillness and permanence are here and stabs of pain.

Humor pauses moving again as flutters of belly laughter.

Never before has life been so magnetically reflective;

Whispered so loudly and absurdly as now.

With each heartbeat a kaleidoscope of feelings break forth.

This is what it is like to be older!

Never before has it been as provocatively comforting as now.

Surprised and stationed with sanctuaries of friendships, home and family.

Reflective windows and shutters highlight, Glimmers of green, and blown purples,

As the mailman bangs the mailbox with coming mail.

In the now of being is the contrast to the past of all memories.

Remembrance comes and wraps round as a large controlling cobra.

Spiraling down and pushing up images and words. Deep down they are drawn up,

Once closed by a hermetical seal.

Now they pass up by the magic of fates and muses.

Dictated together by a long ago oath,

Kissed by a promise on my brow,

Some things can only come forth with age and experience.
