The 9th holy of holies day

Libra and our knees

Life is a contrary experience

We are all dependent on balance

Of walking and making changes

Be it nothing or something

Reflecting and breathing.

When I walk sometimes

I feel like between each knee bend

I have little wings

And briefly I fly

Between my forward movements

From leg to leg

And knee to knee….

I may someday

Have legs and knees as Raven

Developing large wings to fly

And be able to fly away

You will hear my wings

Through the air…

Day 7 off the Holy of Holies

Hummingbird is sitting on a branch

Looking around

Long thin beak

I heard a chirp too

Hummingbird quiet on a branch.

Today is a new moon

Like a vacuum it pulls

But like the humming bird

I will be still and quiet

Looking around…

Waiting for the time

To spontaneously vibrate my wings

And take off.

~ Poem By Hudley

The Hierarchy of Libra rules this day of the new moon.

“The human body center correlating with Libra is to be found in the adrenal glands. These glands, when functioning properly, create absolute physical and psychological balance through each organ and it’s processes.”

Pg. 15 Corinne Heline

“May the element of space not rise up as an enemy,

may I see the realm of the blue Buddha.

May the element of water not rise up as enemy,

May I see the realm of the white Buddha.

May the element of earth not rise up as an enemy,

May I see the realm of the yellow Buddha.

May the element of fire not rise up as an enemy,

May I see the realm of the red Buddha.

May the element of air not rise up as an enemy,

May I see the green Buddhas.

May the rainbow of the elements not rise up as enemies,

May I see the realms of all the Buddhas.

May the sounds, lights and rays not rise up as enemies,

May I see the infinite realms of the Peaceful and Wrathful Ones.

May I know all the sounds as my own sound,

May I know all lights as my own light

May I know all the rays as my own ray.

May I spontaneously know the bardo as myself,

May I attain the realms of the three Kayas. “

The first day of the Twelve Holy Days.

December 26 2013

“According to all sacred calendars Aries introduces the solar New Year. Therefore it is termed the sign of resurrected consciousness.” Pg. 9

~Dante Alighieri

The 12 days of Christmas. My religiosity is not bound to only the Christian story, yet it is dear to my heart, and I feel the need to be part of it now.

As memories of importance hold my hand, I feel fresh, clean, and inspired: the opposite of Christmas day. You see in the last few years I have lost Mother, father, and best friends. My siblings and I are selling the only enduring family home I know. I was born and raised there. I feel as if my roots have been cut off. It is a sad but free experience.

I am not alone in my experience. As an esoteric student and an academic student of religious studies I have concluded that all religions are based on vision, oral stories and then the text. For me, like William James, it is the experience that is the key to understanding the profound religious experience. Even if it is only witnessing the procession of the sun, moon, and stars.

Though I have walked and studied with the scientific and even atheistic mind. I rest best with the spiritual inventive mind instead. The Christian theologian and philosopher Pseudo Dionysius calls this Dionysianism, “The divination of the intelligence.”

Join me if you will or curse me. I have done both myself. I have been to the darkest parts of the mind, and I have witnessed and experienced the best of the mind and profound things.

Each of the 12 days will focus on a part of the human body. An astrological sign, a quote and then a disciple/ apostle of Christ. I will include images as well. Whatever I am inspired to post. The motif will unfold naturally as the days unfold.

Quote: Behold I make all things new. Rev. 21:5

To our brave…. Man of La Mancha

Musical by Dale Wasserman

Autumn…politics and music: Sweet peace is within my breast !

I sometimes think there are two Wagner’s in our culture, almost unrecognizable different from one another: the Wagner possessed by those who know his work, and the Wagner imagined by those who know him only by name and reputation.

~ Bryan Magee, Wagner Scolar

I am celebrating Autumn. I usually do this by listening to Tannhauser. I focus in on The Pilgrims Chorus in this opera. The music feels like autumn to me and contains within it the movements of this time of year. In this particular piece of music I am slowly brought to a powerful center of my relationship with autumn. I am taken there by the crescendo which is a motif and  part of this music. It pulls me to a magical place. I learned this chorus years ago by the occultist Corinne Heline. Her book, Color and Music in The New Age, first copyright 1964 by New Age Press , INC., is an interesting and mind altering perspective on esoteric Christianity, music composers and nature. Corinne Heline’s agenda is very clear.  I feel one can apply or superimpose what is in her book on any belief system.

When I speak of agenda I also refer to the music composed by Richard Wagner and how this song echos as a Nazi patriotic song that Hitler loved. Well thank goddess he was a human being. I do not see it that way. Just because a person associates themselves with a particular opera or song does not mean that the same sentiment is carried on by another person. I denounce Hitler and Nazism.

My focus is on my concept of nature politics and music. This is a continuity of dependable currents that tell us of a seasonal change within the world around us and within us, and it is happening now !  Atheism, Secularism, Christianity, all religions or belief systems in general, art, and the sciences can benefit by this music for the good of humanity and nature and beyond. This is my agenda.

I ask that you enjoy this music as an individual and hopefully it will inspire you to feel the current and spiritual nature of autumn.
