Random Pick day is Sunday !

Random Book Day By Hudley

Here at the office of The Seminary Of Praying Mantis are many many books. Mantis does more than, with silence and insightful grace, sit on a flower or leaf. Often Mantis is found engaged in a book. As this is a seminary of sorts, and today is under the wonderful magic of a waxing gibbous moon; this day comes forth the ritual of random pick from a book day. Ordained by mantis and so forth etc… with a front leg, that is sharp with spines, grasps open a book… randomly of course !

Faust (Part One)

Mephistopheles says to Faust:

That’s very nice.

There’s only one thing I find wrong;

Time is short, art is long.

You could do with a little artistic advice.

Confederate with one of the poets

And let him flog his imagination

To heap all virtues on your head,

A head with such a reputation:

Lion’s bravery,

Stags’ velocity,

Fire of Italy,

Northern tenacity,

Let him find out the secret art

Of combining craft with a noble heart

And of being in love like a young man,

Hotly, but working to a plan.

Such a person-I’d like to meet him;

“Mr. Microcosm” is how I’d greet him.

‘De trop’, no way !!

KAREN: I guess at this point I am what the French call ‘de trop?’

BILL (smiles) Maybe just a little around the edges.

~ All About Eve,

Either you repeat the same conventional doctrines everybody is saying, or else you say something true, and it will sound like it is from Neptune. ~ Noam Chomsky

The sciences are a good thing. Rover on Mars looking back at the Earth is amazing. Yet reading Dante Alighieri’s biography I find that he studied liberal arts courses,

“Which offered Latin, geometry, arithmetic, astronomy (actually astrology) and music was to be passionately attached all his life.” Pg. 11

During the Middle Ages science, art and music were not separate as they are today. With astrology, the planets affect us. Now I wonder how our Earth affects those on Mars or the other planets in our solar system?

My point being is that science is a very bare bones reality where all its theories are well supported, at least enough to go to other planets via technology.

I feel what makes Dante so special to me is that he is the perfect person who, at one time, brought together science, art, and music.  He is the perfected human being who shows us that having a soul is part of the human equation of being, and with an honest spirit humanity inspires to know all the stratosphere of human nature.

We are accountable for ourselves in a divine way. A highly creative solution to the problem of humanity!!! Humor included as Mr. Dante is no fool on this matter!!

Oldest son is just starting a physics course today at the local university. We often debate what is real and what is illusion, as two Gemini our Mercury fires up with heated dialogue.

And then there is Neptune. I love Neptune, the color and mystery of its round luminosity. I hear this week Mercury goes retrograde right into the belly of Neptune, astrologically speaking of course.

The week ahead is a time to feel. As Luna waxes strong into Valentine’s Day, it is a time of a kind of inner pregnancy of feelings; it may be a delightful time if we do not anally analyze too much.

I have decided to do the tango with Mercury, Luna, and Neptune this week…a threesome may be fun!! I will go with the flow, dance sweet and low and get it on the go.

Until next time … fin

Day number 8 of the Holy Days of Christmas

Today illuminate your life by thinking of those friends that most inspire you!!

Red Roses...for Gloria and Shirley Red Roses…

“For Scorpio, the evolutionary aim is to face those shadowy places. To make the unconscious conscious. To break Taboos.”  Hare In The Moon Astrology

The 8th day of the holy days of Christmas brings us to the Hierarchy of Scorpio. This is a primal triad of my astrological signature. Scorpio and Neptune hand in hand are my ascendant rising planets. My life is this motif but not all the time. This takes me to two individual women who are my friends and teachers.

Gloria Hays was the head of the Esoteric Department of the Rosicrucian Fellowship and Shirley Sharp was the head of the Healing Department. This Rosicrucian Fellowship’s foundation is in Oceanside California and is based on the teachings of Max Heindel.

Gloria was a spiritual diplomat of the highest degree. She was a hostess and spiritual adviser and my friend. I use to love to watch Shirley play the organ in the Temple, barefoot. Her passion for music sounded the magic; ascending and descending on those of us sitting in the healing temple. We were surrounded by the 12 Hierarchies. These two women were my champions of  light in the darkness.

It has always been a passion of mine to study the mysteries of life and death; Gloria and Shirley are my friends on this journey.  Today my focus for this holy of holies day is on the two of them as teachers  and friends. Rest In Peace and…

“Tell we meet,

Tell we meet,

Tell we meet,

The Rosy Cross to greet,

Tell we meet,

Tell we meet

God be with you tell we meet again…”

let’s ride the wave of the unknown artist babe

The Outer Limits (1963): The Architects of Fear

I opened Jeff Herman’s Guide to BOOK PUBLISHERS, EDITORS & LITERARY AGENTS 2008.  I turned to page 249 and counted 10 words to the word LARGEST. This is the word I goggle searched finding three images that quickly caught my attention: something cosmic, something I would never look at and something despicable.

In a quasar 12 billion light years from here the largest amount of water has been found. Katie Price is a fashion model writer who seems to have achieved the largest book signing in the Guinness World Records. In 1991 the largest oil spill was 11,000,000 bbl and this was during the Gulf War!

Congratulations and I could have read more about Katie Price but the more I did the more sick I became. This gal uses the media to focus on her and the sad thing is that the rest of the world seems to focus back on her.  She is an illusion of beauty and has a need for acknowledgement. The usual Viagra for old farts to feel young again. Her writing in truth has no depth but she has lots of money to buy a ghost writer… let’s ride the wave of the unknown artist babe!!!

Did they really have to find this quasar to realize there is water out there? Is it the largest fairy tale for them to realize; as the treasure at the end of the rainbow? What good does this information do for the ghost writer who has a mortgage to pay?

The oil goes back to the earth mother from ancient decaying life. I keep saying,

“It is the holy crescent of life and civilization! Why the hell do we focus on fighting there? Fight for the oil and we lose the oil. Kill people so other people can drive their big fucking trucks and SUVs?

So the word ‘largest’ is the word that came forth in my life today. I learned a few things and strengthened some old feelings. Quasars are fantastic; Katie Price has a body with lots of air in her head and hopefully there is a largest collection of oil out there in the cosmos for ghost writers to write about.  This is for all of our smartass scientists /astronomers!!!

Bad triple dare day..

go for it..
go for it..

titillating, provocative and profound

Years ago during the boredom days of our youth Ink Disease Fanzine and the rest of us would take the triple dare. Now that I have about as much testosterone in my body as a young male I find myself seeking the same creative relief. It could be any three things such as a hamburger and fries, ice cream shake and chocolate chip cookies. We would travel around too, going to different places to do the triple dare. I have the day off today and I am pissed-off at the world. I try not to give in to aggression, force, or a ready to fight mode. Drinking beer and jumping up and down gets boring sometimes. I need to encourage my round female shape where the estrogen is hiding as a backdoor protector of such fucking awesome feminine sensibilities: I what something to help me move forward from this struggle of deep August gloom.

To day is a new and improved, fresh triple dare day or bad triple dare day.  August 10, 2013.

  1. A cigarette
  2. Cake (chocolate or white cake not sure yet… maybe both to roll in.)
  3. Fried chicken

I am going to take this ticket and pin it to my shirt and ‘go for it’ today… this is my bad day….ok this may be PG … maybe your Bad triple dare might be something more titillating, provocative and profound. So be it . You are welcome to take the dare with me… or not.

Daily Prompt: Four Stars

Rings of a tree are the chapters that tell the story of a tree’s life. They live a very long time. They sleep alive unconsciously but very dependent and receptive to the physical and spiral world around them. As their physical body sways in the wind their vital body takes in life assimilates; while also being involved in the process of letting go of life: excretion.

Photosynthesis and carbon dioxide is the life of a tree. We are very dependent on trees for their processes of life. We have a physical body and a vital body too, but unlike trees we can walk, talk, and cut them down.

Hecate in general is the ancient goddess of maiden, mother, and crone. She represents the three rings of a woman’s life. Not all women take this path and some men do it better than women, I am now on the third ring. The three rings do spiral around like a tree and blend. Yet, there is a definite stage for each ring.

The image below describes the story of my life. Collectively, consciously, and unconsciously I have grown with these three different rings of life.

If one could dive into any one of the three rings of my life, they would find a different person.

Youth or maidenhood was irresponsible, wild, and free… her life seemed to go on forever.

Motherhood is when my children taught me responsibility, joy, and love.

Crone-hood is teaching me how to be enduring, respect others, to know what real friendship is and what community is,

Life is precious and every moment counts for something.

I invite other women, and men, to create a three-ring image of themselves… for those who have lived as long….
